CAD .NET 11 Released

New CLR 4 assembly added, support of STL file format, CAD files import and export improved and lots more.

We are glad to present you CAD .NET 11, a .NET library for work with AutoCAD® DWG, DXF and other CAD formats.

The most prominent improvements of the new version concern not only support of different file formats but also a global add-on engaged with the whole CAD .NET system.

Viewing STL in CAD .NET

Speaking about the CAD .NET library as a whole now it is presented as two CLR assemblies included into the same package. The second assembly is built on the basis of CLR v. 4.

What is more, now CAD .NET supports the STL file format and that has become a great step for 3D viewing and it opens new possibilities for developers working with the library.

DXF export has been also improved while speed of importing DWG/DXF files containing ACIS is now as fast as never before. These and other new features make CAD .NET a more precise and quick library for work with CAD files.

The list of new features and improvements added to CAD .NET 11:

  • New CLR 4 assembly unit in addition to the common CLR 2.0 assembly
  • Support of STL format added
  • 3D ACIS objects import speed increased
  • Support of AutoCAD units precision added
  • AutoCAD current view export to DXF added
  • HPGL/2 line thickness export added
  • Bugs fixed for:
    • DWG, DXF, GBR import
