Instruments in the ribbon and classic menu

After loading, the image is automatically scaled to fit the window size. You can change the displayed image size using zoom commands.

The instruments of zoom are presented in the section Position of the Viewer tab. In the classical ABViewer menu they can be found under the menu View and the Standard toolbar. Apart from that, scaling can be fulfilled with the help of the mouse and keyboard.

Rect Zooming - allows zooming by selecting rectangle on the image with the mouse. You can select a rectangular area of the image using the tool Rect Zooming by left-clicking on the starting point and dragging to the end-point of the rectangle. After the button is released, the image will be zoomed so that the selected area fits the window size.

Zoom In (+) enlarges the display of the whole image. By clicking on the black down directed arrow next to the button you can select the zoom mode: normal zoom or fine zoom. Fine zoom allows to zoom in continuously. You can also use "+" key for normal zoom in and Ctrl + Mouse wheel Up for fine zoom in.

Zoom Out (-) reduces the image. By clicking on the black down directed arrow next to the button you can select the zoom mode: normal zoom or fine zoom. Fine zoom allows to zoom out continuously. You can also use the "-" key for normal zoom out and Ctrl + Mouse wheel down for fine zoom out.

Zoom Undo [Ctrl + U] turns the image to the previous zoom size (if available).

The Fit Drawing to Window button reduces or enlarges the image to fit the window.  Double-click on the mouse wheel executes the same action.

Using the mouse to scale the drawing

You can use the mouse wheel to change the scale of the drawing. In this case, the mouse cursor points to the "central" point,  around which the drawing will be scaled.

To get use of the Rect Zoom press Alt and make a rectangle selection with the mouse thus, the corresponding scale will be applied to a current drawing.

The mouse wheel can be also used to change the scale of the drawing. The mouse cursor points to the "central" point,  around which the drawing will be scaled. Double mouse wheel click in the view area work similarly to the command Fit drawing to window.
